Mosque Beverwijk

Cultural

Location: Beverwijk, The Netherlands

Area: 1350 m2

Completion date: 2014

Together with the client we developed a plan according to the requirements of the community with two separated entrances for men and women. The minaret and the dome were made in an abstract way of twisted shapes. We also decided to remove the existing facade and use glass and metal panels with a mix of Islamic patterns as our primary textures. Part of the previous building was demolished and later expanded by 700m2 making it more spacious and opened for new possibilities.
