Mosque Mevlana

The board of the Mevlana Mosque in Zevenaar has delayed the project from its execution phase and entrusted it to our company. The already finished foundation and anchor plan of the main supporting structure of steel were not allowed for us to be changed. Within a short period of time a new design was created. To strengthen the unity of the building we decided to use the same material for the dome, the walls and the minaret. With a use of glass, the dome was detached from the roof, creating a floating effect while looking at it from the inside. For the facade we placed small windows in wave style motion that also represent a folding robe of Mevlana. The minaret was made in an abstract square shape. Everything is in harmony and makes the structure unique and outstanding from its surrounding.
